To install this plug-in copy the files piphoto.dll and dcphoto.dll into the Astroart directory.

This plugin opens raw images from most digital cameras letting the user to operate at 48 bits (16x3), achieving a better s/n ratio.
Once opened in Astroart the images will be expanded to 96 bit to let the user to sum/average them without any quantization errors. If the images need auto-alignment then use the "Batch Processing" option below to convert them to FITS, then execute the Preprocessing command of Astroart.

• Click the menu Tools/Plug-ins/Raw Digital Photos to open the dialog window.
• Select the files to process.
• After a while the images will be opened into Astroart.
• The option "Anti-alias" improves the quality of most images but doubles the processing time.
• The option "Batch processing" converts all images to FITS without opening them.

This plugin is based on "dcdraw" by Dave Coffin, version 1.284 with Foveon code 1.226. Most digital cameras are supported but please note: Nikon Coolpix cameras need the "DIAG RAW Hack" to allow the saving of true 48 bit raw images, see: http://e2500.narod.ru/raw_format_e.htm
