To install this plug-in copy the files d_sxvh.dll, g_sxvh.dll, d64_sxvh.dll, g64_sxvh.dll and this guide (sxvh-readme) into the Astroart installation folder.
Remember that the Starlight-Xpress USB software and drivers must be installed as well, before using this plugin. You may download them from the SX website: www.sxccd.com/

Start Astroart and click Camera from the menu Tools / Plug-ins, then click "Setup".
If the camera and the USB driver is correctly installed the dialog window will close, if not, an error will be shown. To reset completely the camera follow this procedure: turn off the camera, turn off the PC, turn on the camera, then turn on the PC.

• Model: The camera model, for the Ultrastar, Superstar or the H9 just select "U/9".
  
• CCD Range: Select here the range for all images: 16, 14 or 12 bits. 16 bit is always recommended.
  
  
• Autoguide camera: Select this option if you wish to use the guide camera.
  
• Full CCD Flush: Enabled by default. It can be disabled for faster startup of exposures, for example for fast sequences.
  
• High precision software timer: Enabled by default. It's used to provide a precise exposure time for short exposures. It may not work on very old PCs (before 2005).
  
• Hardware timer for short exposure: Select this option to use the SXV internal timer for extremely precise short exposures, if supported by the camera.
  
• Check pid: Write the PID to select the correct camera. The list of PIDs is available below.
  
• Connect second device: Select this option if you are using two identical Starlight cameras and this is the secondary camera.
  
  
• Machanical shutter: Enable this option for the H18 camera with mechanical shutter.
  
• T.T. Filter wheel: Enable this option for the True Technology wheel on the SXV COM port. Since Astroart 7 it's possible to use the asynchronous mode which does not block the plugin during the movements.
  

Setting the PID is needed if you are using two SX cameras at the same time.
