To install this plugin just copy the files d_sbig.dll and g_sbig.dll and this guide into the Astroart installation folder (usually C:\program files x86\Astroart).
If you never controlled the camera on this PC, before installing it's required to test your camera with the SBIG software (CCDOPS for Windows, or CCDSoft) this will ensure that the low-level SBIG drivers are correctly installed. CCDOPS can be downloaded from the SBIG web site: www.sbig.com

Start Astroart and click Camera Control from the menu Plug-ins.
Click the "SETUP" button to display the dialog box, set the options for autoguide and filter wheel, then click "Connect". If connection fails check all hardware connections; verify also the network address or USB device number of the camera.

• Autoguide chip: Select which CCD should be used for autoguide. The "guide CCD" and the "external CCD" set simultaneous imaging and guiding with one camera. Don't select them if you intend to guide with another camera.
• Telescope: These are the settings for autoguide. The internal relays are usually supported by all cameras, using the ST4 compatible cable.
• AO Speed: This value represents only an optimization, not a calibration for autoguide. In any autoguide system the optimal pulse length time is 0.1 - 0.5 seconds. Pulses shorter than 0.1 seconds tend to be imprecise, while pulses longer than 0.5 seconds reduce the guide frame rate. This parameter allow to achieve the best average pulse time. Change it only if you feel that the autoguide pulses are too long or to short.
• Filter wheel: The recommended setting is always Auto-detect. Only if this fails, sometimes on very old wheels, you may force the pulse mode for the CFW6/8 or the i2c communication.
• Temperature: write here the desidered setpoint and click the "Set" button. If you want to display the temperature in real-time click the "Display" checkbox.
• Antiblooming: This option sets the antiblooming strength in the ST-5C and in the PixCel 255.
